Why PiPO HRIS

Why organisations choose PiPO HRIS.

Four reasons organisations choose it — and the honest limits of each.

Every vendor's 'why us' page says the same four things. This one tries to be useful instead: here is what PiPO HRIS is genuinely better at, and here is where it is not the right answer. If you are evaluating several systems, the second half of each section is the part worth reading.

One. Casual and frontline workers on the same record

This is the real differentiator. Most HR platforms treat daily-engaged, site-based workers as an exception to be handled elsewhere — which is why so many organisations run a good HR system and a parallel spreadsheet. PiPO HRIS holds both on one worker record, so total workforce headcount and cost are answerable in one place.

Where it is not the answer: if your workforce is entirely permanent, monthly and desk-based, this advantage is worth little to you, and you should evaluate us on Core HR, payroll and performance like any other system.

Two. Implementation led by HR consultants

The platform is built by a consulting practice, so the people configuring it have run the processes it is configured for. Practically, that means the scoping conversation is about your process rather than about our screens, and that we will tell you when a process should change rather than configuring around it.

Where it is not the answer: if you want to buy software and implement it entirely yourself, we are not the cheapest route. Our model assumes a proper implementation.

Three. Built for the Kenyan operating reality

Multi-site by default, mixed permanent and casual workforces, supervisors with phones rather than workstations, statutory identifiers that have to be captured at registration rather than assumed. These are design assumptions, not a localisation layer added later.

Where it is not the answer: if you need deep country-specific payroll for multiple other jurisdictions in one instance, ask us directly during scoping — that is a scoping question, not a brochure claim.

Four. We say what we do not do

This site carries no partner logos we have not verified, no certifications we do not hold, no customer counts or ROI percentages we cannot evidence, and no claim of universal biometric device compatibility. GPS verification, facial recognition, advanced automated rostering and predictive attrition modelling are not presented as current capability, because they are not.

Where that costs us: we lose some shortlists to vendors whose brochures are braver. We would still rather you found out now.

Common questions

Organisations with a mixed workforce — permanent staff plus casual, site-based or shift-based workers — across more than one location. That is the problem the platform was built to solve.

If your requirement is dominated by a capability we do not have. We would rather say so during evaluation than during implementation.
