An attendance system is easy to buy and hard to make stick. The failure mode is always the same: the capture method does not suit the site, so people work around it, and within three months the real attendance record is a paper register again. Choosing well is mostly about being honest about each of your sites before choosing a method for all of them.
What to establish before choosing a method
These six questions will tell you more than any device specification.
- Who will actually confirm attendance at each site? If the answer is a supervisor with a phone, the system has to work on a phone.
- Do shifts cross midnight? If they do, ask specifically how the system holds them. Splitting them into two days is the single most common source of double payment.
- What is connectivity like at each site? Not on average — at the worst one.
- Does every site need the same method? Usually not, and insisting on one is what causes work-arounds.
- Where do the approved hours go? If they land in a spreadsheet on the way to payroll, the chain is already broken.
- Who resolves an exception, and when? Same-day by the supervisor who was there, or three weeks later by someone guessing.

Web capture
Recorded through a browser. Suits offices and branches where a terminal would be unnecessary.
Biometric terminals
Supported in applicable implementations, including ZKTeco scenarios. Devices are assessed during scoping — we do not claim universal compatibility with every device on the market.
What we do not offer. GPS location verification, facial recognition and advanced automated rostering are not presented as current capability. If one of those is a genuine requirement for you, you should know that now rather than during implementation.
